QUESTIONS
1. Why does my remote control not change the
channel since the guide changed?
You may have previously had your Digital Converter set
to Auto-Tune, a feature that allows the box to change channels
automatically. To reset this feature, please select the
following:
- Press Menu twice on your remote to go to the Main
Menu.
- Select Setup and press OK.
- Select Guide Setup and press OK.
- Select Channel Entry Behavior and use the right arrow
button to change to Auto-Tune.
2. How do I get the clock to display on my
digital converter?
- Press Menu twice on your remote to go to the Main
Menu.
- Select Setup and press OK.
- Select Cable Box Setup and press OK.
- Select Front LED Display and use the right arrow on
your remote to change to Current Time.
3. With this new guide not as many channels are
shown on screen as before?
With the new guide you have option to change the grid
cell height to display more channels on screen. To change the
cell height:
- Press Menu twice on your remote to go to the Main
Menu.
- Select Setup and press OK.
- Select Guide Setup and press OK.
- Select Grid Cell Height and use the left/right arrow
on your remote to change to Single Height and EXIT.
4. I used to have my favourite channels set and
these are no longer in place. How do I reset
these?
- Press Menu twice on your remote to go to the Main
Menu.
- Select Setup and press OK.
- Select Favourites Setup and press OK.
- Select your favourites by highlighting the channel
and press OK or FAV on your remote.
- You can now access your favourites by selecting the
“Go To Your Favourites” icon on the Quick Access Menu or
selecting My Favourite Channels on the Main Menu. You can
also press FAV on your remote to jump between your favourite
channels while watching TV or scrolling through the
guide.
5. I used to have Parental Controls set and
these are no longer in place. How do I reset
these?
- Press Menu twice on your remote to go to the Main
Menu.
- Select Setup and press OK.
- Select Locks Setup and press OK.
- Enter your new 4-digit Locks PIN and select your
desired ratings by using the left/right arrow buttons on
your remote to change the settings.
6. I used to have a Pay Per View Purchase PIN
set that is no longer in place. How do I reset
it?
- Press Menu twice on your remote to go to the Main
Menu.
- Select Setup and press OK.
- Select PINS Setup and press OK.
- Enter your new 4-digit PIN and EXIT.
7. How do I order a Pay Per View movie or
event?
Ordering Pay Per View is easy using your
remote!
- Simply press menu on your remote and select the Pay-
Per-View icon from the Quick Access Menu or Pay-Per-View
from the Main Menu.
- Select either Pay-Per-View by Time or Pay-Per-View by
Title and select the movie you want to see by highlighting
the movie and time you want to see it.
- Press OK on your remote and select the BUY icon and
press OK.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your
order and it will begin playing at the time selected.
8. What happened to the timers
option?
Timers has simply been renamed Record. To access this
option:
- Highlight the program you want to record and press
INFO.
- Select the Record option from the INFO screen and
press OK.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set a recording
for the program and your Digital Converter will change
channels at the time of your selection.
- You will need to program your VCR to record the
program using this feature.
9. When I press INFO while watching a show only
a flip bar with the title of the program appears, how do I see
the complete episode information?
- Simply press INFO on your remote twice and a full
screen with complete episode information will appear.
10. Since the new guide came out, I no longer
have any sound coming from the digital channels, yet I have
sound from my other channels. Is there a setting that I need
to change to make this work?
Yes, there is a user configurable setting, which needs
to be reset to get your audio working again.
First, tune to a basic cable channel, like Broadcast
News, then press the MENU button twice, select the SETUP
option, and then select the AUDIO SETUP option. Please make
sure the setting next to DOLBY DIGITAL is equal to OFF by
using the right arrow on your remote to change it.
The Dolby Digital option is used if you are connecting
your Digital Terminal to your Home Theatre receiver. If you
connect a digital coax cable from the SPDIF output to a home
theatre system in the future, go back to this setting and
change it to ON, to activate that output when tuned to a
digital channel.
11. Is there a way to clear all of the
favourite channels I have set?
Yes. Select SETUP from the Main Menu, then select
FAVOURITES SETUP. Press the right arrow on your remote two
times and an option will appear to remove all
favourites.
